Western wear

If big hats, suede boots, fringes and feathers come to your mind when you think of western wear, then this look is definitely a nod to the cowboy style.

Today`s outfit is inspired by the Heath, our photo location. In summertime we come here often. The nature is so beautiful and rustic, and when you go off the trails it`s mostly very quiet. So during the warmer days last weekend, we decided to go again. While picking out the look for the day, I thought that it would be cool to wear something edgy, something that would fit in with nature. And I could barely remember the last time I wore something like this, so it definitely was time for a cool western update!

The first item I chose, was the fringed dress. A few months ago I posted a bohemian look with the dress, but by adding very different details to the dress, you can create such a different vibe. This time I paired the dress with my army green over-the-knees. I love the way the green suede pairs with the cognac fringes. It adds just a bit of toughness to the whole look. And of course I completed the look with my hat. You know, I can`t live without him! 😉

So what do you think of me as a cowgirl? Which combo do you like more, the bohemian look or this one?

Dress – Kiss the sky (Nelly)
Hat – Piet Zoomers
Army green over-the-knee boots – Sacha
